I am Assistant Professor of Global Modernisms at the University of Central Florida. My research focuses on literary modernism and intersecting issues of history, culture, and society that evolved across the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

 
My work focuses on little magazines and periodicals in global contexts from 1850 to the present. I'm  interested in what little magazines from places like the Caribbean, Japan, and India can tell us about transnationalism, identity, and postcolonial culture. 
 
My current book project draws upon methodologies from disciplines like Computer Science, Mathematics, and Linguistics to find new ways of reading global periodical networks and the avant-gardes they catalyzed. With Andrew Thacker and Maria del Pilar Blanco, I am a Co-General Editor of the forthcoming Oxford Critical and Cultural History of Global Modernist Magazines series, which covers periodicals from Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. I am also editing a critical edition of Wyndham Lewis' America, I Presume (Oxford University Press, forthcoming 2026). Other publications include Re-Reading the Age of Innovation: Victorians, Moderns, and Literary Newness (Routledge, 2022).

I am the Editor of the James Joyce Literary Supplement and Co-Editor of The Journal of Wyndham Lewis Studies. 

Along with my academic publications, I have written on literature, the arts, and academic life for The Irish Times, London Magazine, and the Oxford Times.
